Written by Grand rip-off on June 9, 2011 from -, -, US i had the same experience in march 2011 valente, (Grand homes sales person) told that earnest money if refundable, i paid $5000.00, for a house i was intially interested in, but change my mind few days later due to inability to obtain loan at reasonable rate. Grand home refuse to pay me back the money saying that its nomore refundable. but i was smart enough to put stop pay on the check. pls do not give them any money unless they explicitly explain there refund policy |
| 2. Written by Possibly THE most disreputable on May 16, 2011 from dallas, texas, US I used to work for that awful company. They are the biggest group of theives imaginable. In addition to ripping off the customers directly (whether they steal your Earnest Money or they gauge you at their Design Center for ridiculous upgrade expenses), their business model includes firing salespeople as soon as they have about $50,000 in earned, but not-yet paid, commissions. They have "Career Night" every week because they go through salespeople like crazy. If you figure they sell 500 homes per year at an average price of $375K, and they get rid of 50% of the salespeople that made the sale before it closes, it adds a couple million dollars to the owners' bottom line. I'm quite sure the management gets a cut so it's in their best interest to turn over the staff as frequently as they do. Anyway...if you are reading this, and you are considering buying a Grand Home...DON'T do anything until you research JDPower and all the other sites on the internet that are devoted to exposing these jackals for the con artists they are. |
