My boyfriend and I signed an agreement with them in summer of 2010, but it turned out that the floorplan was not what we wanted, therefore we changed to a different floorplan that was $6k more. However, the builder decided to increase the price by $40k! My boyfriend said no because that was over our budget, so the salesperson told him we would receive our earnest money within six weeks. Six weeks passed and we never received our money. We called them countless times and left numerous voice mails, still, no answer from them. I decided to use an unknown number to call them, and without surprise, they picked up! Once again, they said we would get our money soon, but still nothing. Finally, more than 4 months later, the manager decided we can't get our money back because we already signed an agreement with them for the first floorplan.
It's ridiculous how we were mistreated and misled by this dishonest and shameful company! $5k is a lot, and it wouldn't any justice for this company to keep that money without doing anything, when we worked so hard for it! Don't trust Grand Homes! Their houses may look beautiful, but there are ugly people working behind it! 128b8df

| 1. Written by Nate on January 22, 2012 from richardson, texas, US Grand Home is not a builder that will meet customers requirement. Uses sub grade materials, low cost labor, cuts corners and very unreliable. Stay away from Grand Homes. |
